before sunset : the movie

Tidak sengaja, saya menonton film ini di HBO Signature. Tidak dari awal, bahkan. Mulanya, saya pikir adegan 2 orang berbicara di coffee shop itu agak sedikit membosankan. Tetapi saat, saya menyimak dialog-dialog yang terjadi, pada akhirnya saya malah duduk melotot hingga film ini berakhir.

Ada sedikit penyesalan sebenarnya. Ini adalah film yang tayang tahun 7 tahun lalu (2004). And where have I been?

This is a romantic movie with interesting dialogue. These dialogues between Jesse and Celine are simple, strong but smart. I love it.

"I see the people that do the real work
And what's really said, in a way, is that the people, that are the most giving, hard working and capable of making this world better, usually don't have the ego and ambition to be a leader.
They don't see the interest in superficial rewards.
They don't care if their name ever appear in the press.
They actually enjoy the process of helping others.
They're in the moment!"

"People just have an affair or even entire relationships. They break up and they forget! They move on like they would have change a brand of Cereals! I feel I was never able to forget anyone I've been with. Because each person have specific qualities. You can never replace anyone...because everyone is made of such beautiful specific details."

The concept is absurd. The idea that we can only be complete with another person is...EVIL!
